Qwop Challenge
Recently Lauren has challenged me to the game "Qwop". In one of my earlier posts I explained some things about this game and how hard it is to complete the 100 meters sprint it asks for. This man with no bones or cartilage in his entire body is an olympic runner by some twist of fate. He defys the laws of gravity with every step he takes and often does 1 or more back flips with ease. Lauren thinks she can take me in this game, but I think I can beat her! We'll see how this one plays out in the Qwop challenge! My current highscore isn't very high though.
Game of the week!
This game of the week is Animal Crossing for the Gamecube. You can read a review of the game at http://cube.ign.com/objects/016/016562.html! I suggest it to everyone!

Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2
Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 is one of the longest games I have ever played. I still haven't beat it! I've spent around 20 hours on this wonderful game. In Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 you have to battle through "Sagas" to advance through the game. Sagas can get dragged out at times, but it's nice if you're a fan of the Dragon Ball series. It goes through Dragon Ball Z to the very end of the series. There are tons of things on this game to keep you playing for weeks! I love it!
One of the great things about this game is that there are around 140 characters. It can take a while to figure out how to unlock them all. I've only unlocked about 3/4 of the characters sadly. I think anyone that is a fan of the series should try this game. Good luck if you have the dedication to actually beat it!

The Lost Boys
The lost boys is an interesting at the effects of civil war on the people in a nation. In this video two men describe their journey as they fled from their home country. They had to leave home to escape death. The journey they talk about is crazy. These young boys had to face many dangers. They describe how they had to swim across a river and avoid the danger of being eaten by alligators. It was this or being killed by soldiers.
The lost boys makes me think about the effects of war on a country. It can tear families apart, and even lead to death! The lost boys lucked out though. They made it through to tell the tale in America! I think this video is great documentation of the troubles people faced during that conflict.

Super Smash Bros. Melee/Crysis
An old, but still very familar gaming experience has started for me in the last week. Staying up all night, losing constantly, throwing controllers, and unlocking characters... this game is Super Smash Bros. Melee. This game is a wonderfully crafted game from my childhood! I was in tears when I got this game and started it up. Oh! The memories I have! I love this game. I will give a review I get through doing everything in this game again.
Another game I've recently bought is Crysis 2. I will go into more detail on this game later! It's interesting so far though.

Game Suggestion of the week!
Last night I finally beat Luigi's Mansion! It's a short game compared to other games i've played, but it was worthwhile. It only took me around a half a week to beat. It was a fun experience hooking up my gamecube and reliving some of my childhood. Luigi's mansion isn't as straight forward as other games, so you may have to look up a walkthrough to make it through the game.
Luig's mansion is set up that Luigi won a mansion for a contest that he didn't enter. He tell his brother mario to meet him at the mansion. When Luigi makes it to the dark mansion he can't find his brother mario. This is where his journey begins. Luigi has to start a quest through the mansion to find Mario. When you enter the first room you are ecountered a casper looking ghost. Out of the blue an old man pops out and tries to suck the ghost up with a vacumn. After you both are overwhelmed the old scientist takes you back to his lab. In this lab he teaches you how to use the Poltergiest 3000. This is your main tool throughout the rest of the game.
In Luigi's Mansion you have to catch ghost in order to progress through the game. You catch ghost in the mansion with your Poltergeist 3000. It's a super powered vacumn! You earn upgrades for your vacumn that will help you in your journey! You have to clear out 4 areas in total. At the end of every area you have to fight a short boss that usually will kill you once or twice if you're good. I probably died a 5-20 times throughout the entire game. The game is straight forward on what you do usually. Clear out a room and get the key to the next. BEWARE! The game does create ghost that will challenge your mind. You'll be wondering how to defeat every room ghost. Every room ghost is different. There tends to be 7 in every area.
Another objective of the game is to catch boos and collect money. Money is what decides the rank you receive at the end of Luigi's Mansion. If you plan to get the maximum amount of money, I suggest collecting all of the boos in the game! (Hint alert!) The game isn't hard, but it's far from easy. You can find a lot of cool things put in this game for your gaming pleasure. This game provided me with a serious sense of accomplishment.
In general, I think that Luigi's Mansion is a fun filled game. If you haven't played through it.. go for it.

I love Kittens!
My cat Grizzo had kittens around 2 weeks ago! It makes me sad to think that I wasn't home while she was having her kittens. She had four kittens. Two black, one white, and an orange one. They still are walking, but they will be in a week or so. They've just started crawling around in the bed I made for them!
I try to hold them and play with them as often as possible.
It makes me happy to know that i'm going to keep one or two of the kittens. I plan to keep the white one.. and possibly the orange. I <3 kittens!

Games I'm Playing!
The screen shot above is of a game I plan to start playing today. It's called "Shadow Of Colossus". It's a prequel to the game "Ico", which I have also started playing recently. In Shadow Of Colossus you have to run around and kill Colossus, so you can save the babe! It's pretty much the greatest game ever. Both games come off as interesting to me. They are amazing games story wise and my good friend Dayne "The Chef" Severn recomended them to me.
The next game i've been off and on is the First Devil May Cry. It actually was supposed to be a Resident Evil sequel, but it was so different from the series that Capcom decided to just create another series of games. Devil May Cry was extremely successful for the difficulty, story, and fighting system it presented. It has become legendary over the years and it is one of my favorite games. I haven't beat it in years though! I just recently beat the latest in the series. Devil May Cry 4!

Qwop
http://www.foddy.net/Athletics.html Qwop is probably one of the hardest internet games I've ever played. The objective of the game is simple. You are an olympic runner for a small nation and you have to run 100 meters. Sounds easy? BOLLOCKS!The problem with this flawed game is the controls and bad engine. It's a pretty sweet idea, but it's almost impossible to get this goofy runner past the finish line.
It would probably be easier to get a drunk male to walk in a straight line than it is to beat this game. This game is probably the hardest game ever concucted by man kind. It's the rubix cube of the internet.. and few people solve the tricks to beating this game. You guys should try out the game and tell me what you think! Comments would be greatly appreciated!

Music
Some of my favorite my favorite muscians are Dave Mustaine, Bruce Dickinson, Nicko Mcbrain, Julian Casablancas, Paul Banks, Steve Howe, and Jimmy Page. A lot of them come from my favorite bands and I'd like to honor a few of them with this blog.
Dave Mustaine
I think that Dave Mustaine has had a huge influence on my guitar playing style. I think I wouldn't play guitar like I do if I didn't love his guitar playing with Megadeth. It influenced how I looked at a metal riff. Dave Mustaine showed me that metal was more than mindless playing, it was an art form that required a lot of technique. Megadeth for the win!
Jimmy Page/Led Zeppelin
Jimmy Page. 'Nuff said. Led Zeppelin? 'Nuff said.
Paul Banks
I love Paul Banks because of his unique voice and great lyrics. The music of interpol has a lot to offer. If you're interested in some good music that isn't hard to enjoy, I'd suggest listening to Turn On the Bright Lights or Antics.

Bruce Dickinson/Nicko McBrain/Iron Maiden
Bruce Dickinson is probably one of the best singers in music and I strongly believe that no one else can wail like him. He is the front man of Iron Maiden. Nicko Mcbrain is the drummer of Iron Maiden. He is known for his complex drumming and foot technique. Iron Maiden is one of the most important bands that came from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Iron Maiden is one of the premiere bands today.. and they deserve it.
